We are currently accepting applications for an Associate which will be located either in our Calgary AB or Kelowna, BC office.

What you will accomplish

Success in this role requires demonstrating effective communication skills engaging with RWT team, clients, pending clients, and professional services i.e., LLB’s, CA’s, Finance Providers, and Business Owners.

Your tools will include the commitment to providing exceptional work, delivering high quality analytics within tight deadlines, and participating in the M&A process from cold meetings to successful transaction completions.

Your experience and capacity to accelerate and absorb new information, sensitivity to detailed data and documentation is supported with your leadership capabilities through challenges, and the emotional intelligence to engage with multiple levels of business acumen.

This role is both excited and demanding offering a high level of potential for growth and advancement in the RWT organization.

Your role reports directly to executive leadership.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deal experience to work through a process from start to finish and can make executive decisions based on deal requirements
  • Evaluating financial information from a variety of business ownership models and sources
  • Building business valuations
  • Preparing client Confidential Information Memorandums
  • Completing financial statement reviews
  • Ensuring a clear understanding of the needs of clients
  • Managing cross functional teams, internally and externally to ensure successful mandates and closing deals
  • Relationship management with external stakeholders / clients
  • Preparing market, business and financial analysis of various client companies as required
  • Assisting with the development of related documents and presentations required for the partners and clients
  • Acting as a liaison between the partners and clients as required
  • Working to create complex financial models and analysis as required
  • Setting up data-rooms as required
  • Distributing information, agreements and client follow ups as required
  • Other duties as assigned

What you offer

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Recent University Business School graduate (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in M&A and corporate finance industry
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, and work under tight deadlines
  • Must possess intermediate Excel skills (i.e. VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables) and have the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong power point skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong ability to manage scheduled tasks and ad-hoc projects effectively
  • Must have excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to operate in a fast paced, multi-tasking and multi-currency environment with accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

What we offer

Compensation: $65,000 – 90,000 base salary per year, plus bonus potential of up to $80,000 per year and an opportunity for advancement.

Location: Calgary, AB or Kelowna, BC
