We are currently accepting applications for an Accounting & Administration Manager role, in person at our Kelowna, BC office.
What you will accomplish
We currently have an exciting role for an ambitious, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting and Administration Manager out of our Kelowna, BC office. The focus of the role will be maintaining the accounting records of the company including its wholly owned companies and to prepare timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain the integrity and timeliness of the underlying accounting records for multiple businesses owned by the corporation.
- Manage accounts payable process from obtaining approvals through processing payments and updating weekly cashflow reports.
- Management accounts receivables and the collection process
- Process and reconcile credit card transactions
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to vendor enquiries
- Perform month end reconciliations and prepare corresponding documentation for approval and processing. Types of reconciliations include but are not limited to; bank reconciliations, accounts receivable ledgers, accounts payable ledgers and related accruals, intercompany reconciliationsEnsure the financial and accounting policies and programs are followed and comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Managing basic office administration for the company’s offices
- Keeping and appropriately filing administrative financial records
- Maintaining sufficient inventory of supplies
- Managing and negotiating vendor contracts
- Managing NDA’s going out on behalf of the company
- Other duties as assigned
What you offer
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrable understanding of accounting and bookkeeping
- 3-5 years’ experience or post-secondary education in accounting or business strongly preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Experience in the service, M&A and financial industry would be considered an asset
- Strong computer skills in all office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects
- Proven ability to work independently while being a team player
